After six years of adventure together as best friends, we are finally making it official in the eyes of the law. We're heading across the pond to Sin City to get married in a small, intimate ceremony with a few of our nearest and dearest.
We will be getting married at 14:30 PST, June 12th 2014, at the world famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. There is actually a webcam at the sign, which you can view here - if you can't make it out there, tune in and see if you can catch us!
Our party back home starts at 14:00, July 5th 2014. It's at The Wick at Both Ends, a lovely little bar on West Street in Sheffield.
We plan to party at The Wick until early-mid evening, and then we'll be heading out to Corporation much later on. Usual Saturday Corp antics will ensue - hope you've been practicing your Jäger face.
There's no parking at The Wick (and city centre parking is a rip off/manic on Saturdays), but it is on the tram route. If you are driving you could always park at Meadowhall and get a tram into the city. Get off the tram outside Tesco on West Street and walk up. Click here for the Google map.
If you're travelling to Sheffield, we recommend you have a look at hotels/accommodation on Laterooms or somewhere similar. It's probably best to do this sooner rather than later, as it's the Tour De Yorkshire that weekend - thankfully, it's not the Sheffield leg on the Saturday, but the city will probably be busy and hotels look to be filling up.
Sorry - The Wick is quite a small and intimate venue, so that part of our day is invite only. Of course, you're free to bring whoever you want to the late night drinking and craziness at Corporation, as it's just a rock club.
Whatever you want! No really - we mean it. We want *you* to be there to celebrate with us, and for you to be comfortable.
Yes - there will be a buffet at The Wick, with veggie and vegan options.
Of course! The Wick has an amazing beer, ale and cocktail menu. Oh, and an absinthe menu. Let that sink in a little. Are you overjoyed? We are.
Do you really think we'd have a party without cake? Yes, of course there will be cake.
No.
Gifts are not expected - your presence is the only present we need! Just turn up and have an awesome time with us, at whichever parts of the party you want to. If you would like to get us a gift, and need ideas, we are registered at John Lewis - click here and enter code 598366. You don't need a password.
Yes, Jess is going to take Dan's surname. That means she will be Jess Drakett after the wedding. Fancy!
Send an email to wedding@drakett.co.uk or give one of us a call.
